![]() ![]() It's hard to get bored in a game like this, but after 900 Koroks and 78 sidequests, I AM getting a little burnt out. I don't really have anything left to do in the game except upgrade all my armor, and I'm still ~30 star fragments away from that. I know you can farm them from Lynels, but I hate fighting Lynels and the RNG is shitty and also those require a new blood moon too. I get them in the renewable chest(s?), but I have to wait for the blood moon for those to respawn. If I'm not looking at the TV every second, I can't farm star fragments, and I CAN'T look at it every second because if I do I'll go insane. OR the star drops in the water, but because I wasn't looking the entire time I miss it and I keep waiting around for no reason at all. I have the TV muted, so I don't hear the star piece crash! If I leave the TV unmuted, then I can't watch videos because the music bothers me (it just bothers me in general - I've spent way too long listening to it). OR I get distracted with whatever it is I'm doing while I wait (phone games, youtube, bingeing the xkcd backlog) and don't remember to look up until after dawn in-game. But for several nights now no star has dropped at all. It was a little tedious, but ultimately not so bad. (I like it better on the Great Plateau than Dueling Peaks because I don't need special gear and I don't have to worry about Stalkoblins/share with a Korok lol.) I go up here, I wait, I see the star, I get the star, I come back, camp til noon to reset the timer, camp til night again, and just repeat.Īt first I was getting one every night like clockwork. I'm camped out at the Great Plateau Tower on like my 7th night with no star drop. ![]() This page contains affiliate links from which we may earn a commission if you make a purchase.I'm writing this rant mostly to complain and potentially commiserate, but if anyone has any advice, I'll take it lol. Once the star appears and lands, you can jump from Dueling Peaks with your glider. Face west so that the castle is on the right side of your screen. Dueling Peaks gives Link a great overview of Central Hyrule. You can warp to the nearby Shee Vaneer Shrine to get there quickly. You can reliably farm for star fragments at the top of the Dueling Peaks. Some sets like the ancient armor and Gerudo Town tiaras can only be upgraded with these fragments. You’ll need the star fragments to trade to the Great Fairies for armor upgrades. They also increase health you gain from a meal, but there are better (less expensive) ingredients for that. They’re a great way to make quick money, as they sell for 300 rupees. Once you’ve farmed them, you may wonder what you can do with them. You have until 5 am to pick up the star fragment, so you should start making your way there quickly. Use your scope to drop a pin on the star fragment to keep track of it. When you eventually do see a shooting star, you’ll see a yellow beacon that appears where the shooting star landed. ![]() ![]() To maximize your chances of seeing a shooting star, you should find a vantage point where you can see lots of sky over open land.
